An article posted on Christianity Today talks about how practial evangelism and reliance on God can make a big diffierence in a church's health and growth. While some may be tempted to think that evangelism is the kind of thing only Billy Graham can do, this article emphasizes that evangelism is something anyone can do. Originally written by Steve R. Bierly in Leadership Journal, the article touches on some real-life scenarios in which un-churched people joined the church at the invitation of friends and loved ones.

We are approaching the beginning of a new year in the Christian calendar. Advent is a time of preparation for the coming of Christ again into our world and into our lives — for some, maybe the coming of Christ for the first time. We look to Christmas when God came in Christ Jesus as Emmanuel, God with us. What a gift — this time of year when we remember again and focus on the message of the angels:

Desert Southwest Conference Models Sidewalk Sunday School Ministry

In the Desert Southwest Conference, a new model for Sunday School and outreach is taking place. Director  of Outreach Ministries, Ms. Billie Fidlin, oversees this program and has been an instrumental participant as well.

The Sidewalk Sunday School Ministry seeks to teach the fundamentals of Christianity to urban children and their families. The message is one of "Hope for the future."
